About Bari’s Services:
Some Commonly Asked Questions

Q. I understand Bari is both a therapist and a life coach. What’s the difference?

A.
Individuals and couples see Bari for a variety of reasons. As a therapist, her specialties include depression, anxiety, relationship/family problems, and divorce recovery. These are serious and complicated situations that can worsen without certified attention.

In coaching, Bari doesn’t work on "issues" or focus on your past. She will instead help you move in the direction you want, faster and easier than you could on your own. She’ll support you, guide you, and assist you in making decisions that could change your life. As a coach, Bari will hold you accountable, making sure you truly live up to your potential. Together, you’ll work on solutions and strategies for creating your best life yet! And you can do this over the phone or in person.

Q. How do I know if I need therapy or if I need coaching?

A.
If you feel “stuck” in your life, or are irritable, frustrated, angry, or unmotivated, your life needs attention.

If you have unresolved issues (current or from the past) that you need to work through and put behind you, therapy may be best. The therapeutic process will involve sorting out childhood pain, defining the problem, establishing new personal goals, and developing new techniques for living a more effective, fulfilling life.

If you have already been through therapy and are ready to move forward with your life, you’re probably ready for some coaching. Bari coaches women through major life transitions, difficult decisions, and assists them in finding more passion, self-confidence, and balance in their lives.
Sometimes clients begin with therapy and then progress to coaching — it all depends on the individual. Bari can help you decide which is best for you, after your free half-hour phone consultation.

Q. What’s Bari’s counseling and coaching style like?

A.
Bari’s clients describe her as “a safe haven,” in which they can “realize the truths of life.” Like an old friend who feels warm and comfortable to talk to, be with, and grow with. Whether you work with Bari in person or over the phone, you’ll receive extremely personalized attention that will get you results.

Q. I think I’d like a coach, but I’m not sure. Why would I want to hire one?

A.
As a life coach, Bari can help you:

  • gain clarity in your life (or just “make sense” of it!)
  • take yourself more seriously
  • address what motivates you and what holds you back
  • explore obstacles that are between you and your goals
  • eliminate things that drain your energy
  • receive support during your transition
  • stop tolerating what isn’t working in your life
  • take steps to change your current situation
  • plan the next “chapter” in the book of YOU

Q. I’m not sure if I can afford individual coaching meetings. Does Bari work with groups?

A.
Bari runs several types of group workshops, covering issues from building a successful marriage to balancing your life. She is also available for conferences and to speak to professional organizations. See what workshops are coming soon.
